The award-winning tour departs daily from Queenstown at various times including; 6:00 AM (seasonal) and 6:30 AM & 7:30 AM year-round, allowing guests to escape the crowds and immerse themselves in Fiordland’s iconic scenery and wildlife.
You will get picked up by your friendly local guide at or near your Queenstown accommodation and travel in style aboard a premium Mercedes van with no more tha 16 guests. The journey to Milford Sound takes you through picturesque Southland farming country, with a brief stop in the charming town of Te Anau for lakeside refreshments. Upon entering Fiordland National Park and the renowned Milford Road, you’ll experience towering mountains, beautiful rivers, lush rainforest, and some cheeky Kea birds.
Your guide will provide multiple stops for photo opportunities, rest breaks, and share entertaining commentary featuring local stories. At Milford Sound, you’ll enjoy on a nature cruise that explores the fiords impressive peaks and waterfalls, with chances to see dolphins, penguins, fur seals, and native birds.
After the cruise, you’ll return to Queenstown in comfort, with options to upgrade to a scenic flight over the Southern Alps. This tour is a full day taking approximately 12–13 hours, from Queenstown return.
